Talking to Alexa on your Amazon Echo can sometimes be challenging, especially if you need to ask your friendly voice assistant one question after another. You may find yourself asking multiple questions in a row and then waiting for each response. “Alexa, what time is it?” “Alexa, what is the weather forecast?” “Alexa, what is the traffic to work?” “Alexa, what’s the latest news?”
Having this type of back-and-forth conversation with Alexa can get cumbersome. Instead, you can combine all these questions into one single process known as a routine. Add multiple questions, requests, tasks, and other actions for Alexa to chew on. Then—when you want all those requests answered—just give Alexa the name of the routine, and she automatically responds to the actions you added.
You’ll find a few built-in routines in the Alexa app, but you can also create your own. Let’s go through the process.
